this post could be called a few things....
a tranny and his fan club, glenn's denim "situation", pro golfing with Anne and Bing Crosby or a fat girl reaches her dream - now what?
Ok folks, this is the real deal. I told myself when starting this business that I would be in the NY Times Style Section some day. Little did I know it would be on my second day of selling ever!
Massive kudos and blessings go to the tireless organizers of the wonder that is the Brooklyn Flea, Jonathan Butler and Eric Demby. They are sweet and hardworking and love Brooklyn just like I love Brooklyn and we all wish to dress it up. I'm focusing my efforts on her more substantial residents + visitors.
Here's the link to the article just in case you missed it. Seriously we open and close the article and it includes my groan inducing "needle in a haystack" metaphor. Nothing like chatting with Guy Trebay from the NY Times while thrifting in suburban Maryland! We did such a happy dance in the store I thought they were gonna shoo us out.

and there are two cute pictures of us in the interactive photo/audio section:

scroll down to the "Nothing is Ordinary" part and click on the audio and the two pictures.
Now that I've achieved this lifetime dream I guess my next dream should be to get the doors of my store open! Don't forget to come visit us at the Brooklyn Flea on Sunday April 20th.

i loved your needle in the haystack qoute! it did not make me groan at all. it made me think of the risks that you take putting yourself out there, the discomfort you're willing to endure in pursuit of your dreams and of love, and the ways that it seems to work out well for you! it made me feel inspired and think that you're the greatest ever! it did not make me groan at all.
I think you all looked FABULOUS, and rock ON, Deb, Glenn & Anne! We are hoping to visit the Flea this weekend and will look you up for sure.
