Dara Silverman is a consultant, organizer, activist and trainer who has worked to build movements for economic, racial and gender justice over the past 20 years. She was the Executive Director of Jews for Racial and Economic Justice (JFREJ) from 2004-2009. Dara has developed a yoga practice over the past 10 years. In the Spring of 2009, she completed a 200-hour yoga teacher training at the Kripalu School of Yoga. Her focus is on supporting communities not usually found in yoga classes to access yoga in a way that feels accessible. She is currently teaching at a homeless shelter for pregnant people, and to queers, trans people, people of size and others all over Brooklyn.
