Exciting news for the fans of famed designer Abby Z. Re/Dress NYC has recently acquired some remaining inventory from her now closed Soho store.

We will be selecting 2-3 styles per week to debut in the store. There's very limited quantity and once they're gone, that's it!

As our cultural images of beauty have become more and more rigid (or at least thin) and there are more and more diet programs trying to convince women and men that being thin is the ultimate goal, we have to work harder to redefine and identify with our own beauty. This class will deal with and give techniques for owning our beauty and loving our bodies right now.

Continuing with April's focus on self love, Re/Dress NYC is hosting workshops on healthy eating without dieting, intuitive eating, and radical body love taught by Golda Poretsky. She is a Holistic Health Counselor and featured weekly columnist on the new web site More of Me to Love and has her own blog (bodylovewellness.blogspot.com) as well.

Each class is $15 or get all 3 classes for $40.
Classes are 3 successive Tuesday nights in April.
You can attend just one or all three.
7:30-9pm. April 14th, 21st + 28th.

The store will open at 6pm for private shopping and mingling.

There are some days like this weekend which totally make all the blood, sweat and tears going into making this store 100000% worth it. This weekend was the Fat Girl Flea Market which was the event that planted the Re/Dress seeds so long ago. While I didn't get to be at the flea, I volunteered in the morning for a bit, go to help sort clothing, and see a lot of out of town friends who stopped by the store. Everyone's flea market success stories kept me happy and connected. Thank you everyone who donated, volunteered and shopped!

It was also the 1 year anniversary of our very first day of selling. We started April 6th 2008 at the Brooklyn Flea and managed to have a great day and also make the cover of the NY Times style section, a long time dream of mine. Not bad for day one.

I've been hearing such lovely feedback from our customers and have finally remembered to cut and paste the reviews from Yelp, as they're prone to come an go. They don't keep all the reviews up all the time. Thank you everyone who's reviewed the store.

Events and Goings On at Re/Dress

Tomorrow Saturday April 4th is the Fat Girl Flea Market.
She's kind of like the pre-Re/Dress, the event that birthed the idea that this can be a viable and desired business. The Flea Market is a fundraiser and a fantastic body positive event. And did I mention the shopping is CHEAP?

Saturday April 4th --- 11am - 8pm --- $8 entrance fee
