Re/Dress NYC buys contemporary, modern/trendy clothing and vintage fitting a size Large and above that are in new or like new condition. Bring in your former favorites for trade or cash on the spot!

We are dedicated to serving the fashion hopes & dreams of our customers therefore modern/contemporary clothing must be no more than 2 years old. Vintage clothing is anything 20 years or older. There are many factors that determine what we will buy: wear-ability, seasonality, size, style and so on. We know what styles our customers are looking to buy and we only buy those pieces.

Based on the store’s style, size and seasonal needs, sellers are offered either 25% of the resale price in cash or 40% store credit for the clothing selected by the staff. The resale price is set at least half off the original retail price (vintage being the exception to this rule) and is often 1/3rd or less of the original price. This affords our customers the greatest selection of clothing at the best prices.

When you come in bring your clothing to the counter on the left of the front doors. You’ll be given an account in which your cash/store credit gets recorded. Your store credit never expires and can be used to shop with at any time. Shopping with store credit is a great way to refresh your wardrobe without spending money.

Whatever we’re not interested in buying, you can leave for donation which gets picked up by various charities and also Wearable Collections. Please note that items left by customers, that are not selected for resale, will be donated to charity if not retrieved by the customer by closing on the same day that clothing is dropped off. This is due to restrictions on storage space and the volume of clothing that we receive.

Coats - Jeans, especially skinny - Fall tops, blouses, tee shirts - Full and half slips size 1x or above - Dresses (casual, work, cocktail, formal) - Cardigans & Fall Sweaters - Lightweight Jackets (including leather) - Contemporary + Vintage skirts - Shoes & Wide Calf Boots - Suits from better brands (prefer sets) - Accessories like belts, bags, jewelry - Clothing with sequins & sparkle.

All fitting a size Large and above…
in excellent condition, clean + neatly folded (no hangers please)

We buy a lot of different brands, everything from H&M/Target/Faith 21 to Marina Rinaldi. Our buying is based on Style/Trend and Condition more than brand, therefore we sometimes will buy that really cute retro style Old Navy Dress and pass on the 4 year old Jones New York suit that still has the original tags on it. Our experiences of the last 1 1/2 years have helped us determine just what our customers are looking for. If we say “no thank you” to anything, it doesn’t mean that there’s something wrong with your clothes. It just means that those items are not the trend/style/size that we can sell at this time.
